My name is Danielle Swartz and this is my ePortfolio.
During my time at SLCC, I have been working towards earning an associates degree in American Sign Language so that I can transfer to a university to earn my bachelors degree. As of the end of the Fall 2021 semester, I am three-fourths through my degree and should have it completed in 2022 if things go according to plan. I have also managed to maintain a 3.7 GPA through my time here at SLCC and I hope to keep it that way through graduation. In this ePortfolio, you will find classes for both my General Education requirements as well as those for my program of study. |
About me!
I was born and raised in the Utah, but I have spent some time in California as well as Canada. In my family, I am the third child of four (two brothers and one sister). Eventually I would like to move up North and live in either Canada or Alaska when I'm finacial stable enough to do so. I just really like living in places where mountains, snow, and forests are in abundance.
Growing up, I found myself drawn towards anything to deal with creating. I adore anything art! Whether it be drawing or painting, you'll find me with messy jeans and a smile on my face. Music has also been a key part of not just school life but my personal life as well. The friends and memories I have made through marching band as well as solo ensemble have really shaped me into who I am today.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to attend college and persue a higher education. All of the paperwork for scholarships and internships has proved worth it after all is said and done. I chose American Sign Language as my major because the Deaf community is such an amazing culture to learn about and interact with. It also makes me feel better knowing that I have the ability to comminicate with someone and not have to worry about having a laguage barrier between us. I hope that once I finish my education I can continue to learn about.
